About Today’s the Day

Hallo! I started this blog a few years ago as a place to put my creations: new recipes, events I helped plan, social activities I was taking part in, and show off my fancy new photography skills (still working on them), art I plan to create, etc, etc, etc. Basically, I wanted to show the two hemispheres of my brain colliding, but in an accessible way.

But NOW it’s taken on a new purpose.  I’m living in Bonn, Germany for a year with my mathematician bf, Sean.  We’re having a grand adventure abroad and I want to keep all of my friends and family included in my life. I hope it’ll serve its purpose.

A little background: I’m a nonprofit fundraising and events professional who left my awesome job in D.C. at Communities In Schools National at the end of September 2015 to go on this adventure. I was there for almost 6 years, got amazing experience, met people who I will consider friends, colleagues, and mentors for life, but have reached a point in my life where I needed a change. My Dad died last October, my boyfriend and I have been long distance for years, and I need some clarity and adventure in my life. I hope to keep everyone involved in my life through this blog, and do so and not bore everyone, so if I don’t achieve these things, please let me know.
